    .... .. ..Who is Abacay?.... Abacay are Melany Morganstern on the mic and Miles D. Torrance on the keys... .. ..Where do they live?.... Melany and Miles are living in Germany. Melany near Berlin, Miles near Leipzig... .. ..What did they do musically in the past?.... Melany was singing since she was a little girl. Later she joined several bands and coverbands and performed many times on stage. She always knew she wanted to sing even though reading notes were not her favorite... Miles is in music for almost 20 years now. He desided to buy a keyboard rather than a guitar because keyboards, synthesizer, workstations offered a much wider range of sounds than a guitar could offer. Together with sequencers he began to create his first arrangements and writing songs. With friends he formed his first music projects... .. ..How did they got together?.... Miles' project did split and so he was seeking for a new voice. This information got to Melany's eyes brought by a newspaper. She called him and they made a test. Short after that meeting they started working on the first songs... .. ..How long did it take to make the first album?.... This was not a matter of 5 minutes. Not that they did not want to have it done faster. It has been the cirumstances that did slow it down. Someone has to pay the rent and so they had their jobs to do first... .. ..Why is the album named "Victims of Cirumstances"?.... "As the lyrics of the same named song say, we all are victims of circumstances. Circumstances we are caught in but also circumstances we cause that will influence our lives direct and indirect. So we thought this is a good title bescribing everything in 3 words.".. .. ..What is the meaning of the name "Abacay" and why did they choose it?.... "Abacay" has no special meaning. "We just wanted a good and positive sounding name that almost everybody would be able to pronounce and that does not implicate any idea of how the music could sound to have that open. And today for sure the major web-domain names had to be free.".. .. ..Are Melany and Miles living together?.... No... .. ..Are they in relationships and will the public get to know more about?.... Melany and Miles please to repect their privacy... .. ..What are the plans for the future?.... Strengthend by getting a lot of positive feed back by real people through the internet Abacay will release and promote a number of singles in 2010 and hope to get some airplay and more popularity to play more live all around the globe... Meanwhile they are working on new songs to finish and release a new album in 2010.

    It's not our intention to sound like an existing band or to imitate a style. We try to sound unique - what ever this means. Sure, it will always happen that if your are listening to our songs that this reminds you of a songs by other bands. This is because it's music, too.
