    Based in Brisbane, Australia, Aislinn Sharp is an exciting, upcoming solo singer/songwriter on keyboard. Aislinn's songs are passionate, relevant, a bit funky, bold and performed honestly from the heart. Her beautiful vocal-style is influenced by R&B, jazz and other contemporary styles, offering something special for listeners. As a graduate from the Queensland Conservatorium, Aislinn is keen to play her original music and share her message of emotional empowerment with others. Over the past 16 months, Aislinn has been working hard to create musical magic in the recording studio, both in Brisbane and Sydney, laying tracks for her forthcoming album, "On the Couch". Aislinn's first single, "This Bridge Is Burnt!" is scheduled to be released in February 2011 on i-tunes, which is very exciting. This dance/funk track will certainly help get the party started! The song is based on a true story about a third person trying to cut in on an established relationship between Aislinn and her man. What happens next to this unlikely trio? You'll just have to wait until the song is released to hear how the story ends ... (the suspense is building!). Aislinn is also keen to share her love of music and song-writing with others. In fact, Aislinn is the brain-child behind the creation of "Sounds Original" - a not-for-profit music organisation desiged to encourage and support original song-writers with what Aislinn calls - "the art of performing". Being a motivated and passionate young woman, Aislinn certainly believes in following your dreams and the saying, "if it is to be, it's up to me". Aislinn is a regular performer at Sounds Original (Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, Capalaba), the "Songwriters Network Queensland Presents ..." concerts at Kitty O'Shea's Irish Pub (Paddington) and Bohemia (Caxton St). Aislinn has also played in the Queen St Mall (Brisbane), The Music Kafe (West End), X and Y Bar (Fortitude Valley), Inspire Gallery Bar (West End), The BUg (Muddy Farmer Hotel, Annerley), The Elysium (Lakeside Victoria Point), Birdee Num Num (Fortitude Valley) and shopping centres around Brisbane. In the media, Aislinn has also been pictured in The Bayside Bulletin, Southern Bay News, Quest Wynnum Newspaper, Mx Newspaper Brisbane, Scene Magazine Brisbane, Rave Magazine Brisbane, Time Off Magazine Brisbane, City News Brisbane, Tsunami Mag Brisbane and The Courier Mail Brisbane. It is also positive to note that "Aislinn's Song Selection Concert" was mentioned in music news by music editor, Noel Mengel in the CM2 section of "The Courier Mail". In late 2009, Aislinn was awarded an arts grant from the Redland Shire Council to attend the Dream Inc. Workshops in Melbourne. Aislinn was privileged to be taught and mentored by some of Australia’s finest artists including Katie Noonan (former lead singer of ‘George’), Joel, Kav and Stu from Eskimo Joe, Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Host of 'So You Think You Can Dance Australia' & Lead Singer of ‘Rogue Traders’), Jason Coleman (Judge/Dance Chorographer on ‘So You Think You Can Dance Australia’) and David Jaanz (Singing Teacher in Melbourne). In August, 2010 Aislinn returned to the Dream Inc. Workshops having music conversations with Marica Hines, as well as songwriting sessions with Connie Mitchell and Angus McDonald from Sneaky Sound System. Following on, Aislinn was delighted to attend the 2009 ARIA Awards held at Acer Arena, Sydney Olympic Park. At this exclusive music event, Aislinn mingled with some of Australia's most celebrated music artists including Kasey Chambers, Kate Miller-Heidke and legendary country rocker, Keith Urban. In 2010, Aislinn was privileged to be invited to perform on Australia Day at Raby Bay Harbour Marina, Cleveland alongside singing sensation, Jal Joshua ("Australia's Got Talent" Runner-Up, 2009) and beautiful songstress, Kim Durant (1980s Hit - "Love you, Queensland"). In May 2010, Aislinn was a finalist in "Redland's Got Talent".
