Alex Karbouris (Alex K) was signed at 16 years of age to Central Station Records in Australia. That year he joined Australia's biggest dance station, Wild FM, as production manager. Alex created megamixes that featured on the all famous "Wild CD's" that sold hundreds of thousands of copies. At 17 he had his first string of commercial releases and remixes - more notibally the single "Pussywhipped" and "You Got It" that was signed to nukleuz in 1999 and reached number 6 in the UK dance charts. His collaboration in 1998 with Amen Uk titled "Angel in my heart" gave Alex worldwide attention. His remixes and tracks were featured on hundreds of compilations across the globe. Alex K has also remixed hundreds (and we do mean hundreds) of mainstream and underground artists, including Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dogg and Coolio.

Mid 2006 came Alex K's compilation Ultimate NRG. It went to sell over a staggering 100,000 copies alone in the UK, reached the number 2 in the charts, and was the 36th biggest selling cd in the UK for 2006. Proof that Alex K's sound is not only embraced by fans, but is loved by the people.



If you know bounce, bumping, nrg, or whatever you want to call it, you will know his sound. He is known across the world as the King of Bounce - and if you listen to his sound, you will know why. Love it or hate it, Alex's production has got him gigs spanning across the globe and it doesn't seem to be slowing down in the slightest. At 26 years of age, he still has a lot left in him, and with a forthcoming album plus loads of new 12" releases on the way, we got a lot to look forward to. And working closely with the biggest labels in the dance scene, its only going to get bigger. His latest compilation "Ultimate NRG 2" is out now across the Great Britain and reached number 3 in the compilation charts.
