    Cachorro es el nuevo proyecto de Javier Ato, otrora miembro y compositor de la banda de indie pop Ligre, junto a Iván Martínez (batería de The Liverpool Band), Óscar Ato (ex-componente del grupo Aguas Internacionales), Rubén Aledo y Javier Pérez. Las canciones empezaron a ser compuestas a mediados del 2010, y grabadas simultáneamente en casa, con una pequeña tarjeta de sonido y unos micros, de manera muy "artesanal". Sin grandes medios pero con muchas ganas de seguir componiendo, Javier Ato decide contar con la colaboración de Óscar Ato en los teclados. Tiempo después se une al proyecto Iván Martinez. Pero esta colaboración empezó a ser tan estrecha que Cachorro pasó a ser un concepto más amplio, un concepto de banda aún por definir. Las canciones, igualmente, son en parte un boceto; prácticamente acabadas pero que quedan realmente cerradas con las últimas incorporaciones en la formación: Rubén Aledo y Javier Pérez. ----------------------------------------------- Cachorro is a new project of Javier Ato, once member and composer of the indie pop band Ligre, together with Iván Martínez (drummer of The Liverpool Band), Oscar Ato (ex-component of International Waters), Rubén Aledo and Javier Pérez. The songs started being composed in the middle of 2010, and recorded simultaneously in house, with a small soundcard and a few mics, in a very "handcrafted" way. Without big means but with a lot of desire of continuing composing, Javier Ato decides to possess the collaboration of his brother Oscar at keyboards. Time later, Iván Martinez joins the project. But this collaboration started being so narrow that Cachorro happened to be a more wide concept, a concept of band still for defining. The songs, equally, are partly a sketch; are practically finished but that will remain really closed with the last incorporations in the formation: Rubén Aledo and Javier Pérez.

    La banda exprime al máximo sus composiciones, nada desperdicia hasta dar con su último objetivo: componer las canciones que siempre ha querido escuchar. A pesar de su sonido contemporáneo no renuncia a sus orígenes, a crear bellas melodías y armonías vocales de corte más clásico: the Byrds, the Beatles, CSNY, the Strawbs, the Zombies... Cachorro se siente cómodo avanzando entre dos caminos que en muchas ocasiones se cruzan entre si: el camino del folk-rock (the Band, Fairport Convention, Pearls Before Swine) y aquel que bandas y artistas de corte más pop y más intimista como Jimmy Campbell, Nick Garrie, Colin Blunstone o Emitt Rhodes ya recorrieron. También admira el sonido de bandas contemporáneas como Wilco, Midlake o Grizzly Bear, pero está creciendo y sabe que su camino aún está por recorrer.-------------------------------------------------------- Cachorro feels comfortable advancing between two ways that in many occasions cross between us: with a leg, to every step, it raises the powder of folk-rock way (the Band, Fairport Convention, Pearls Before Swine) and with other one, he treads in the courses for which already composers and bands of court happened more pop and more intimist one as Jimmy Campbell, Nick Garrie, Colin Blunstone or Emitt Rhodes. Also it admires the sound of contemporary bands as Wilco, Midlake, Grizzly Bear or Dr Dog, but it is growing and knows that his way still is for crossing.
