  • Bio

Chris Jagger's Atcha! was founded after the release of Chris’ first Cajun/Zydeco inspired album Atcha! in 1994. (Sequel Records in U.K. and Kurb Records in the U.S.). Since then the band has been through various permutations and roamed far and wide, often joined by illustrious and capable guests. The are now working as a lean and fit four-piece that includes original members Malcolm Mortimore and Charlie Hart as well as Jim Mortimore, who happens to be Malcolm’s son and is also a very fine bass player and guitarist. This was the basis of the band that recorded the album ‘Act of Faith’ (SPV Records in Europe, Atcha Records elsewhere), to which Dave Gilmour, Mick Jagger and Sam Brown all contributed strongly. In 2009 Chris released his own acoustically leaning solo album, ‘The Ridge’, but was keen that the new four piece Atcha! should help to promote it, both live and on video. Live, Atcha! cover several numbers from the Ridge as well as from Chris’ and their extensive back catalogue. So the music ranges over various genres, including the band’s own creation – the lively and highly danceable ‘zydo-funk’! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. recent gig in Barnes with Mick: .. .... ........
