    Daelle was born, artistically speaking, in the Hip Hop and Soul clubs in Naples, Italy, her city of origin. She grew up listening to a great number of different artists of the international Soul, Hip Hop and Jazz scenes such as Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Tribe Called Quest, Digable Planet and, more recently, contemporary artists like D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Her first project, Soulitunes, is shaped by the more contemporary phase of her artistic growth. Soulitunes is a concept album made up of sounds and lyrics which draw the listener into a virtual journey that ranges from the chaotic metropolitan cities of the new millennium to exotic locations passing through the never ending, introspective journey for the " perfect "place. One of the tracks from her first project " Calcutta Joint " was chosen by fashion icons Dolce & Gabbana as a soundtrack for their Winter 2010 collection catwalks. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
