A FRENCH architect claims to have cracked a 4500-year-old mystery surrounding Egypt's Great Pyramid, saying it was built from the inside out.Previous theories have suggested Pharaoh Khufu's tomb, the last surviving example of the seven great wonders of antiquity, was built using either a vast frontal ramp or a ramp in a corkscrew shape around the exterior to haul up the stonework.But flouting previous wisdom, Jean-Pierre Houdin said advanced 3D technology had shown the main ramp which was used to haul the massive stones to the apex was contained 10-15 metres beneath the outer skin, tracing a pyramid within a pyramid.

Dim-witted thieves steal Global Positioning SystemsOn January 23, 2007 Theives who stole global positioning systems (GPS) from a warehouse in New York state were apprehended after authorities activated the tracking devices to locate them.Fourteen GPS were stolen last week from a warehouse in Babylon, New York. The town had planned to use them to track its municipal fleet of vehicles.Police and municipal staff said they remotely activated the devices and were led to the home of one of the culprits who was found fiddling with one of them. The GPS device is quite beneficial when we are looking for something. Within 48 hours we had the individuals under arrest," said Inspector Robert Casagne of the Suffolk County detachment. The thieves had snagged cell phones and planned to sell them, he said. Three people face charges.

Could NASA be the 1st Interplanetary Murderers ?
AP are reporting that two NASA Viking space probes may be responsible for the death of alien microbes on Mars some 30 years ago.
The reasoning is based on how Viking may have been looking for the wrong kind of life (Earth-like life based on salt water). Viking would have missed any hydrogen peroxide based life and, due to the nature of the experiment, would have inadvertently killed it. Ooops.
