It's time for some news!!!!! .... Been doing some great gigs lately as well as some freelance mixing / editing. .... We've had a great response to the tribute shows we did at The Vanguard and it's thanks to all of you that came out that made them so successful. .... Still going to Nashville in September for Mix Nashville, songwriting as well as some gigs. I'm hoping to see some of my ex-pat Aussie friends come out to the shows where I'll be playing some country tunes as well as some more of my contemporary songs. .... I'll see you all soon at a gig somewhere around Sydney! .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. Greg Cade burst onto the scene fronting hard rock band "Backlash". The band performed blistering tracks such as Skid Row's "Piece of Me" as well as a slew of original tracks to rave reviews. Following a lack of creative input in the band and having a sense that the good times rock scene was losing the publics interest Greg left to pursue a solo career. His voice was easily accessible and his songwriting was well received with comparisons being made to Southern Sons and Rick Price. Just as momentum was building Greg was struck down with a serious medical condition that limited his public appearances. He continued to work on his songwriting catalogue as well as spending countless hours in the studio honing production skills that would later prove to be vital in the volatile music industry. Through 1998 and 1999 in between US visits Greg worked on a modern country album. Fan favourites such as "Dying For Your Love" and the upbeat "Would I Lie To You" gained comparisons to artists like Gary Allen and Keith Urban. At this time and growing tired of the bubblegum pop style that was taking over the country scene Greg decided to make a return to melodic rock while continuing to write music with substance. In 2001 after surgery Greg teamed up with legendary vocal coach Don Grayden who helped rebuild Greg's worn out voice. This partnership proved inspirational as a powerful new voice rose from the ashes of the old. Greg had now developed his own unique vocal style featuring rich tone and a multi octave range. 2005 saw Greg take on the role of Producer and Vocal Coach to a number of promising local artists, one of which has since signed a major label deal. 2007 & 2008 saw a busy Greg performing and writing tracks for a new E.P. to be released late 2009...
