if you were trolling around the internet looking up our band name and random other words you might have stumbled on the fact that a song was given out by matador off our new album coming out on april 6th. its called friendly ghost and according to most things we have read it is supposed to be about a ghost (i guess music blogs dont believe in metaphors but they do believe in ghosts...and vampire weekends ability to turn concepts of musical lineage on their heads) so no matter if it is about a ghost or a girl or an ice cream sandwich... whoop here it is!

so we just got back to austin after putting the finishing touches on our record (which wont be out for a while so dont get any ideas)
i have developed this weird thing for the movie dirty dancing and am pretty sure i will be quiting this band soon to either a. become a dance instructor to beautiful jewish girls in their time of budding sexuality or b. im going to fall in love with patrick swayzie and help his friends get abortions. either way things are looking up.
we are here for a while and have a few shows so if you live in the area come hang out. we will be going on tour through some of the south and the eat coast soon blah blah...
in other fun news that has little to do with our band our house will be having an art show for our friend (and occasional flyer expert) lindsay barras on thursday so please come to that.
