Jamie McDonald

Jamie McDonald hails from Liverpool, England – a place where they're called Liverpudlians and Scousers and has a reputation as a Port City. We don't think they mean the drink, but given it attracts a wide range of people, cultures and religions, you would be forgiven for thinking so. Migrating to Australia, Jamie has travelled the world running back and forth from cheffing, journalism, radio and beyond, all in an endeavour to get the most out of life and cross paths with as many people as possible. Jamie has a BA (Hons) Media from Manchester Metropolitan University, a Post grad journalism diploma from France. But that all pales in comparison to the achievements he has had in radio. He has been an Announcer and/or Executive Producer for ARN Brisbane & Melbourne, Macquarie Southern Cross Australia, Triple M Brisbane & Sydney, 612 ABC Brisbane, 96FM Perth and Radio St Tropez, France & Europe 2, France. In other words, he's been making other people sound funny nearly his entire life! Life didn't begin in radio for Jamie though, because at 15 he started working in guest houses in the Isle of Man during school holidays. Loving the work so much, he started working as a chef and worked his way through to Head Chef of La Saulire Hotel in the French Alps, mingling with the aristocracy on private yachts and summer/winter homes of the rich and famous . Now back in sunny Queensland, Jamie hosts his own radio show, "Talking Back the Night" broadcast live across 46 stations nationally. Ever the insomniac, Jamie also runs a cooking school from the Full Moon Hotel in Brighton, Qld, has a production studio with clients such as Sony BMG, ARN & Macquarie Network and because his life is filled with madness, it's only fitting that he's a brilliant comedian and MC to round out the full gamut of who Jamie McDonald is. Jamie is the all round entertainer in music, radio, comedy, acting, sport and cooking – if you haven't met Jamie McDonald yet, he's sure to pop up at an event near you.
