This was our last gig for the year as Tony K and family are going to Hawaii, The pub was packed with all and sundry, an oztag competition was on for the weekend and the punters were out to play, as well as a couple of the girls who didn't let the side down by getting fairly merry. The Slammers christened their new banner and after another solid performance by the young guns Darktown Strutters the night was set for some classic tunes. For those who didn't make it bad luck, see you next time and for those that did thanks for coming and we hope you had a good night, because we certainly did. 2011 has just about come and gone but we are still as keen as ever to play so hopefully we will soon announce some of our bookings for next year. The atmosphere was a bit nervous with Shane driving back from Sydney after a couple of hectic days with his sons band Ebb N Flo who are gathering a sizeable following with there great tunes. The night was started off with our opener act Darktown Strutters, they are a young and upcoming band who have the ability of doing justice to tunes from Metallica to Foo Fighters, Our fist bracket was a bit shakey due to one practice since our last gig in May, but by the second bracket the old cobwebs were well and truly gone and come the end of the night the encores are being requested
