Created in late July 2008 and with only 3 weeks practice the group were already in high demand, with a long list of gigs and a North West Tour up their sleeves. Moana Dreaming was formed at Abmusic College for the selected number of young and gifted students that were committed, determined and open minded. The goal of the group was to create soulful, contemporary Indigenous music and a unique stage act for audiences on an International level. With every step, these exeptional artists gain the experience and knowledge to put what they have learnt into there own personal improvement, gaining confidence about themselves on stage. They all come from diverse backgrounds including three different Aboriginal tribes from various parts of Australia, also Greek, Torres Strait Islander and Malaysian. They blend together their cultures with contemporary music, to bring an exotic fusion of Blues and Roots, Reggae, Soul and RnB. They share with you their stories and life experiences through beautiful harmonies and the soft sounds of various acoustic instruments. . .
