.... .... .. .. .. .. Formed in the Australian city of Brisbane, NEVERWORLD's vision was to blur the razor thin line seperating the all to often set in stone genres of heavy metal & hard rock. To make a unique blend of music that explores & expands on these boundaries... Gathering from around the globe, NEVERWORLD fused together the formidable talents of four musicians who's wealth of knowledge & passion came together in January 2009 to embrace the concept & it's possibilities. What was established, is a musical tour de-force that rips through the confines & creates a powerful, melodic entity like no other. Music that leaves you breathless & a live show as massive as their name embodies... Firstly, Bass player Jason Childs, who's thunderous bass lines have been felt throughout the Sydney rock scene for years before migrating to Brisbane. He also kept his chops up with constant touring along Australia's east coast. Always honing his craft, Jason keeps the melody & chunk of the guitars in perfect sycronicity with NEVERWORLD's drums, creating a sonic backbone... Completing NEVERWORLD's engine room is drummer Ade Dorsett, formerly of the U.K. A man who's technical abilities have seen him play some of England's most presigous arenas, including the Manchester Apollo, the London Marquee & the famous NEC in Birmingham. Not to mention chart success throughout most of Europe. Powerful, precise & solid Ade ensures the NEVERWORLD sound is grounded & anchored... Masterly executing the guitar parts in NEVERWORLD is Brisbane's own Mikko Sebastion. This shredding riff-master cut his teeth on the tough Brisbane live originals circuit. He has also established him self as a respected session player for numerous bands. A musical architect, Mikko's blazing fretwork is not only matched by his musical intuition, but by his over the top performance. A true guitar hero in the making... Finally... last but not least, vocalist Natasha Nixon who has been tearing up the scene in her home land of New Zealand before moving to Australia. Natasha's talents have also stretched to the theatre as Mary Magdalene in a successful stage production of the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar. A vocal powerhouse with lasting presence, Natasha completes the line up for the unique experience that is.......... Neverworld... GIGS AND TOURING OPPORTUNITIES
We're looking for a support act for a series of Brisbane and SE Qld/NNSW gigs this year and for a national tour, including festivals, next year. The gigs and tour have promotional and managerial financial backing.
Support slots are currently available for The Zoo on Thursday 16th September and The Powerhouse in late October.
We're also looking for original artists and bands to book for a new Sunday afternoon Brisbane venue.
If you're interested in the local or national support gigs, or bookings for the Sunday afternoon gigs, or you just want more info or to say Hi, please come along to my FREE GIG at The INDOOROOPILLY HOTEL on SATURDAY 7th AUGUST and give your details to my management and support team at the meet-and-greet desk.
