Dear friends, fans and followers of the Unicorn Union,
today we have a very important news update for you. As you know, our five year anniversary show together with FREEDOM CALL and lots of special guests is coming up on November 2nd at the AERA in Vienna.
However, five years are a long time, and sometimes changes happen. And thus we have to inform you today that unfortunately, Daniel Stockinger (guit) and Georg Lorenz (keys) will, due to personal decisions, no longer be a part of DRAGONY in the future. We wish Daniel and Georg all the best for their future endeavours both in and outside music, and thank them for their contributions to the band, without which DRAGONY would not be what it is today. For those of you who are interested, Daniel will be working together with a new project called DAEDRIC TALES (Power Metal in the Elder Scrolls universe, http://www.reverbnation.com/daedrictales), which we would like to bring to your attention.
The show on November 2nd will take place as scheduled, as we have invited numerous guests and musicians who will help us out and support us for this show.
For us, however, this change also meant that we had to look for suitable successors on guitars and keyboards. We have been hunting high and low, and we are lucky to be able to present the new guitarist of DRAGONY already today:
Henceforth, Mr. Simon Saito will support us on guitars! Simon's enthusiasm and effort during our first few rehearsals these past few weeks quickly convinced us that he would be the right man for the job, and we are thrilled to have him with us. Simon will already support us on guitars at the show on November 2nd. Promotional pictures will follow shortly. Welcome aboard, Saito-san!
Meanwhile, our quest for a new keyboard player will continue, as we are currently scouting several candidates. However, we are still open for suggestions, so if you are a keyboard player/composer and interested in joining DRAGONY, feel free to contact us on office@dragony.net and submit your application. We will gladly take a look at every candidate.

Liebe Freunde, Fans und Mitglieder der Unicorn Union,
heute haben wir von DRAGONY eine wichtige Nachricht für euch. Wie ihr wisst, steht am 2. November 2012 unsere 5-Jahres-Feier gemeinsam mit FREEDOMCALL und vielen Gästen im AERA in Wien an.
Aber fünf Jahre sind eine lange Zeit, und irgendwann bleiben auch Veränderungen nicht aus. Aus diesem Grunde müssen wir euch heute leider mitteilen, dass Daniel Stockinger (Guit) und Georg Lorenz (Keys) auf Grund von persönlichen Entscheidungen in Zukunft nicht mehr Teil von DRAGONY sein werden.
Wir wollen uns an dieser Stelle bei Daniel und Georg für die Zusammenarbeit in den letzten fünf Jahren ebenso bedanken wie für ihre Beiträge zum Gesamtprojekt DRAGONY, ohne die diese Band nicht das geworden wäre, was sie heute ist. Wir wünschen Georg und Daniel alles Gute für ihr weiteres Schaffen, sowohl in als auch abseits der Musik. Daniel arbeitet derzeit auch mit dem Projekt DAEDRIC TALES (Power Metal im Elder-Scrolls-Universum, http://www.reverbnation.com/daedrictales) zusammen, auf das wir hiermit auch gerne aufmerksam machen möchten.
Der Auftritt am 2.11. wird aber natürlich wie geplant stattfinden, da wir ja zahlreiche Gäste und Mitmusiker eingeladen haben, die uns an diesem Abend tatkräftig unterstützen werden.
Für DRAGONY bedeutete diese
Veränderung jedoch auch die Suche nach geeigneten Nachfolgern. Diese haben wir
uns nicht leicht gemacht, aber wir
können bereits heute den neuen Mann an der Gitarre vorstellen.
Und so freuen wir uns, von nun an Simon Saito bei DRAGONY begrüßen zu dürfen! Simon hat uns durch sein großes Engagement bei den ersten gemeinsamen Proben in den vergangenen Wochen schnell überzeugen können, und wird auch bereits die Show am 2.11. im AERA mit uns bestreiten. Indes sind wir noch damit beschäftigt, den Posten an den Keyboards neu zu besetzen, und haben auch hier bereits ein paar Kandidaten im Auge. Solltet ihr jedoch selbst Keyboarder/Komponist sein und auch Interesse haben, Teil der DRAGONY-Familie zu werden, dann könnt ihr euch weiterhin unter office@dragony.net bei uns melden.
