Tipped to become one of the most celebrated Australian acts of 2009 and, having just released their long-awaited second album Sound Awake (over three years in the making), a MySpace Secret Show with five-piece alternative/progressive rock group Karnivool www.myspace.com/karnivool in their hometown of Perth was always going to be epic. The 600 person long line of dedicated Karnivool fans curling around the Astor theatre at 6pm on a Monday night was clear evidence of this.

More ambitious, varied and atmospheric than their debut album, Sound Awake was met with high praise and lucky fans were treated to an exclusive first taste of the new material as Karnivool played a monstrous ninety-minute set to adoring ears.

Karnivool performed and played masterfully, all five members of the band gushing energy and feeding off the crowd; at one point, a fan's stuffed cow - aptly named Mr. Moo - became a puppet in the hands of Kenny, and bassist Jon Stockman busted out a jocular solo after anticipative chants of request. When will I find out the details and how do I get access?

When we announce a show it will be displayed in the ‘Next Show’ section on the profile and we will send a bulletin to let you know a new show has been announced. At this stage we will tell you the artist, date, city and if it’s All Ages but the exact venue location will not be revealed.

Enter your mobile number in the mobile entry field on the Secret Shows profile - this will allow us to send you the details of where the Secret show will be. MySpace will not share your information with any 3rd parties.

When the countdown timer reaches zero, you will be sent an SMS with all the show details including the exact venue and time that doors open.

Line up at the Show and present your mobile SMS upon entry. IMPORTANT: The SMS is NOT a ticket to access the show and does NOT guarantee entry. The Show operates on a first come first served basis and when the venue has reached capacity no more users will be allowed to access the event. Can I just forward the SMS to a friend without them registering their mobile number on the profile?

NO. Each SMS has a unique code which will be checked upon entry.

How early will I need to line up on the night?

It varies from show to show and is impossible to know when the line will reach capacity. All we can tell you is that it is first come first served and will depend on the demand for the show as well as the size of the venue.
