Welcome to the world of Stuntcat

Stuntcat are the two indierock artists Linda and Bjoern Hering. Both of them live and work in Dortmund, but as often as possible they commute between New York, Los Angeles and Formentera, in order to refine their personal artistic field which is influenced by independent music, pop-surrealism and postmodern literature.
Bjoern founded Stuntcat after having left the band Speedway 69 as their singer in 2006. A band, he had had many releases and shows with in Germany and in the USA (with Pete Doherty, Babyshambles, New Model Army, Phillip Boa and many more). Bjoern founded Stuntcat with Linda who has been with him all the years and who had experimented with various bands before. In their home project studio called Negativland they had been experimenting with various possibilities of recording for a whole year in order to fuse together an authentic as possible reflection of their emotional state of mind with the uncontrollable sound of classic indierock elements.
Their debut “You look so alien in your bloody tuxedo” will be released in February 2011 on VierSieben Records. Linda and Bjoern present a classic and extremely fresh work of indierock, which is never florid or overloaded. With their sound they also hint at their longtime indierock idols, such as Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, The Jesus and Marychain and the Velvet Underground, and they polish it up to the high gloss of the latest avant-garde. Their songs are ornated with amusing, ironic and postmodern lyrics, like a camera obscura plunging into the thoughts of all time outsiders being on their way through a world of pain and beauty.
With Stuntcat two intellectual exceptional artists break out of the mainstream unity and take the bull by the horns, reminding of the rebellious thoughts and anachronistic sounds they have been admiring since their teenage years. Doing that, they repeatedly cooperate with other no-name and lo-fi artists from around the world. Their catching humor and their appealing understatement are their constant companions, in the studio and on stage.This young and uncompromising couple playfully breaks the classic conventions of the latest pop culture and is a surprising valuable addition to the sub cultural scene.

    Sittenwidrige Markenanmeldungen

    In vielen Fällen ist es sinnvoll, den Namen einer Band oder auch den Künstlernamen eines Musikers beim ..DPMA.. als Marke anzumelden.

    Hierbei sollte allerdings darauf geachtet werden, daß der anzumeldende Name nicht gar zu derb ist, da das "Anstandsgefühl" Deutscher Ämter und Gerichte sich doch signifikant von dem der Musikantengemeinde unterscheidet und die Markenanmeldung vom DPMA wegen Sittenwidrigkeit zurückgewiesen werden kann.

    Ein erbauliches Beispiel hierfür ist der Beschwerdeentscheidung "Ready To Fuck" des Bundespatentgerichtes (BPatG) zu entnehmen:
