Queensland Music Festival 2007 will bring together bands and artists from the 70s punk era through to today in a one-off musical event inspired by Andrew Stafford's book Pig City: from the Saints to Savage Garden.
The big top concert, Pig City: Brisbane's historical soundtrack , will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the music that underscored Brisbane's coming of age. Featuring Regurgitator, The Riptides, The Pineapples from the Dawn of Time, Kev Carmody, Screamfeeder, Ups and Downs and an historic reunion of The Saints' founders Chris Bailey, Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay.
The concert will journey through the heady days of Bjelke Petersen's Queensland with a visual feasts of long gone images, tributes to bands that are no longer, and a celebration of the music that underscored Brisbane's coming of age.
