I was watching the Rays vs. White Sox today and I came to the conclusion that professional baseball is fixed too. It was in the news that the Rays wanted a new stadium on a waterfront property. There isn't much attendence to the games and speculation that a more attractive stadium would lure in more spectators. So owners fixed the games to give themselves leverage in negotiating with the city of St. Petersburg. I wouldn't be surprise if the Rays win the World Series to clinch a waterfront stadium.
