Vibraphone Records is a San Francisco-based record label shining a light on some of the most promising indie, dream-pop and shoegaze artists. The label started in early-2007 with the intent of bringing together talented and diverse artists to forge a singular, identifiable sound.
Vibraphone ...aspires to such reputable labels like 4AD or Creation Records whose name recognition alone has earned loyalty, trust, and longevity.
Vibraphone Records is more than a label. It is a sound, a style, and a vision.

Current mood:
..Hi all
accomplished
so, Vir's new record has been in the can awhile. we decided to rest on it for a bit before releaseing it in July 2010 and we're very excited to do so. very excited.
"Gillespie" was for the most part recorded in winter 2009 at Sharkbite Studios in Jack London Square with our good friend Adam Myatt. A lot of tracking and knob tweaking was done at Hollis street, our home studio, throughout the year.
Before we get into the narrative behind the record, here's the track list:
Down by Law
Lux
Lux Reprise
Tele
Gillespie
Protection
86
The Other One
Side B
Bail Out
There'll be more about the record and news before the release date in July. In the meantime then "Down by Law" and "Bail Out" are up on our player for a listen.
thank you so much for visiting, we hope you love the new tunes and can't wait to see you all soon.
love
Vir
