  • Biografia

    YobKiss started in 2006 as a performance with his Rotterdam based art collective Antistrot, sawing laptops in half and making music on oversized powerbooks. Working in his studio in The Hague YobKiss created a extreme mixture of electronic music and live drums. Besides exhibiting his art at exhibitions in Japan, Russia and New York he did various solo performances playing live drums synced with music composed on vintage synthesizers. In 2005, 2007 and 2009 YobKiss toured and colaborated in Japan with Jason Forest aka DJ Donna Summer, Bogulta, Maruosa, Acid Mother Temple, Suzuki Junzo, Doddodo OvenaxX, Mandog, Afri Rampo and many more. Other small tours in Europe, New York and Russia from 2007 to 2009 included festivals such as  Wasted, Skiff, Dutch Punch, State X New Forms and Gocha Matsuri, OvenaxX’s brainchild, in the mountains of Osaka. His debut album, Pure Sperm From The Evil Blood Of Techno, has been released in 2009 by Macaroni Records from Japan and was digitally released in Februari 2010 on Jason Forest his Cock Rock Disco label. It features guest musicians; Nani of Bogulta, Doddodo, (Osaka), Hamadaraka, Maruosa (Tokyo) Toxic Lipstick, Kt Spit (Australia) and Michiel of Nothing Done (Rotterdam). As the album has been recorded and mixed by people coming from dance and electro music (Remco de Jong and Joze Saiote) it has got some diversity in the feel of the production ranging from disco to 80’s speedmetal. YobKiss has done remixes for Friday Night (LA), DJ Donna Summer (DE) Nobody Beats The Drum (NL), De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (NL) and many more
