    Royal Parade were born out of the streets of Melbourne, brought together by a chance meeting but forged on solid friendships. This 5 piece rock outfit– AJ (drums), Adam (Bass), Damo (Keys), Dave (Lead G) and Josh (Lead Vocal, Rhythm G) – brings to the Melbourne music scene an eclectic mix of melodies, energy, skill and personalities, which can be heard in every set and every song. Royal Parade’s music has been likened to anything from Snow Patrol to Jimmy Eat World and Powderfinger, but even then they cannot be pinned down. Royal Parade’s music is inspired by melody but their success comes from their ability to enthrall and excite crowds with their energetic and soulful live performances. With soaring melodies, clean, clear vocals, a solid rhythm section, and brilliant colour, added by keys and lead guitar, Royal Parade moves their audience through energetic rock songs to soulful ballads and everywhere in between with all the hallmarks of a band that will be around for a long time. Having overcome many setbacks in its 4 year history, Royal Parade is heading forward and already has some impressive gigs in the bank. Having supported Aussie rock stalwarts The Angels, Royal Parade has since built up it’s own reputation with major headline gigs around Melbourne, most recently at “Rock the Show” at the Royal Melbourne Show. At present Royal Parade have a strong, loyal and vocal core following in Melbourne and are looking to spread that fan base around the country. To do that they will be working hard this summer to record an album for their fans. While that happens Royal Parade will be exciting their fans with their signature live performance that always leave the crowds screaming for more.

Bio:

Royal Parade has had to overcome personal and professional setbacks to be where they are today. The five boys from Melbourne – AJ (drums), Adam (Bass), Damo (Keys), Dave (Lead G) and Josh (Lead Vocal, Rhythm G) – bring with them an eclectic range of influences, which can be heard in every set and song. Royal Parade’s music has been likened to anything from Snow Patrol to Jimmy Eat World to the Goo Goo Dolls, but even then they cannot be pinned down.

Royal Parade’s music is inspired by melody but their success comes from their ability to enthrall and excite crowds with their energetic and soulful live performances. With clean, clear vocals, a solid rhythm section, and brilliant colour added by keys and lead guitar, Royal Parade has all the hallmarks of a radio friendly band mixed with the honesty of a group that will be around for a very long time.

In 2007 Royal Parade experienced the unexpected death of bass player and band founder Leigh. This tragedy stalled the band’s progress and left the boys with some big decisions to make. After dealing with this tragedy and massive loss, Royal Parade has a new determination to fulfill Leigh’s vision to share the music he loved with the people.

Having just supported Aussie rock stalwarts The Angels, Royal Parade have since followed up with two major headline gigs. At present Royal Parade are in a pre-recording phase for their upcoming album to be recorded in June 2010, but are looking forward to playing gigs and exciting their fans with their signature live performance that always leave the crowds screaming for more.
