    Australian guitarist Alex Stuart lives in Paris, where he moved after completing his degree at the Australian National University's School of Music in 2005. His main project, 'The Alex Stuart Quartet' released Around, featuring Alex's compositions, at the iconic Sunset jazz club in October 2010. Franck Bergerot of Jazz Magazine / Jazzman, France's top jazz magazine, awarded Around its prestigious ''Revelation! (Discovery!)" tag (January 2011 edition). It has also been featured on Australia's top national radio jazz program, ABC FM's 'Jazztrack', France Musique's program 'Open Jazz' and other radio stations. Around follows Alex's first album, Waves, also featuring his compositions and recorded in Sydney in 2005. The eleven other performers included some of Australia's top jazz musicians such as Eric Ajaye, Miroslav Bukovsky and James Hauptmann. ABC FM's 'Jazztrack' and other FM stations featured Waves, while the ABC's internet jazz radio station made it their 'Feature Album' for an extended period. 'Jazztrack's' Mal Stanley described Waves as "strong, original music from an Australian talent to watch" . Alex also plays with 'Groove Stance and the Portion', 'Black Sesame' and 'The ArunTazief Trio', and has previously played with 'The Alex Stuart/Warren Walker Band', 'Abakuya', NewElectroSoulSession', 'TANG!' and with singer Moira. He has performed at Parisian venues such as The Sunset and Sunside jazz clubs, The Baiser Sale, The Scene Bastille, The Scene Watteau, The Olympic Café, The Reservoir and The Studio de L'Ermitage, and at French festivals such as the Festival Rayon Frais and Jazz a Tout Heure and at concerts elsewhere in Europe, Australia and Asia. He has shared the stage with many fine musicians including Brice Wassy, Bruno Angelini, Munir Hossn, Remi Vignolo, Luc Isenmann, Miroslav Bukovsky, Eric Ajaye, Chris Cody, Dave Panichi and Alex Jacquemin.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guitariste australien, Alex Stuart s'est installé à Paris en 2005 aprés avoir obtenu sa licence en jazz au conservatoire de l'Australian National University. En Octobre 2010 son projet principal 'The Alex Stuart Quartet 'sort l'album Around au Sunset Jazz Club. Franck Bergerot, rédacteur en chef de Jazz Magazine/ Jazzman, accorde à l'album l'étiquette ''Révélation! Jazz Jazzman". Around a été diffusé sur l'émission radio de jazz la plus connue d'Australie, 'Jazztrack' de ABC FM (radio nationale), l'émission 'Open Jazz' de France Musique et sur d'autres radio. Around suit un premier album, Waves, enregistré à Sydney en 2005. On compte parmi les onze musiciens ayant participé au projet certains des meilleurs de la scène australienne tels qu' Eric Ajaye, Miroslav Bukovsky et James Hauptmann. Waves a été également diffusé sur 'Jazztrack' de ABC FM et son présentateur Mal Stanley qualifia alors la musique d'Alex de "très originale, un talent australien à suivre".
